Please help us to protect people’s health from biological and infectious threats
Leave a legacy through Lexikin

Our mission is to protect people’s health from epidemics and disasters and ensure that communities are resilient to major challenges, with 5 main focus areas:

Global Health Security

Emerging Infectious Diseases and Epidemics

Medical and Public Health Preparedness and Response

Deliberate Biological Threats

Opportunities and Risks in the Life Sciences

Clade X was a day-long pandemic tabletop exercise hosted by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security on May 15, 2018, in Washington, DC. The exercise simulates a series of National Security Council-convened meetings of 10 US government leaders, played by individuals prominent in the fields of national security or epidemic response. Drawing from actual events, Clade X, and other similar exercises hosted by the Center identifies important policy issues and preparedness challenges that could be solved with sufficient political will and attention. These exercises educate senior leaders at the highest level of US and international governments and leaders in global industries.

Working with Lexikin

Lexikin – a trusted, secure digital estate planning tool which records your assets, wishes, memories and legacies.

This unique service allows you to set up a straightforward charitable pledge, for free, without any complicated obligations or up-front payments. In addition, 100% of your pledge will go straight to the charity. All we ask is for you to consider making it part of your Will when you have time in the future.

What is a Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is a pledged financial donation to a charity, which is only realised in the future when you die. Legacy gifts are arranged through a Will or can be pledged through Lexikin’s free online service.

How your Gift will be used

We undertake a series of projects, collaborations, and initiatives to push forward progress on global health security, emerging infectious diseases and epidemics, medical and public health preparedness and response, deliberate biological threats, and opportunities and risks in the life sciences. We:

  • Conduct research and analysis on major domestic and international health security issues.
  • Engage with researchers, the policymaking community, and the private sector to make progress in the field.
  • Convene expert working groups, congressional seminars, scientific meetings, conferences, and tabletop exercises to stimulate new thinking and provoke action.
  • Educate a rising generation of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.
